Seniors

Check out this awesomeness. And these are only some of their photos…seriously. When we talked before their session, these BFFs said they wanted more of an Anthropologie-esque look to their photos, not bright colors. And I think their session turned out way cool if I do say so myself. These girls were so fun and kept me laughing, and they were total naturals. They were so much fun to photograph and totally up for everything I requested.

You see some more of their photos here and here.

But I’m mid-edit in this session and just had to show you a couple more photos from it.

I love when clients incorporate their dogs, especially when they really love their dogs. Ours is very much part of the family, so he gets to be in our photos as well. And I have to say, I loved this dog. Such a sweetie!

Always nice to spend a couple of hours in the early morning with a couple of people that really start your day out by automatically putting you in a good mood. You can’t help but crack up with these two high school seniors.

And good news, girls! Despite what you told me, you’re both incredibly photogenic. I cannot wait to show you the rest!

As I’m sure you can tell, we had tons of fun at this senior session (well, once they found our meeting place after being led astray by their GPS). Happens to the best of us. I always trust my phone’s GPS and am always just as shocked as the time before when I get totally lost as it takes me miles in the wrong direction.

We had such a fun group — my gorgeous senior of course, her mom who was so fun and laid back, and her best friend. We had a blast together and got some amazing shots even though we had to race the sun to make sure we got to the lake in time. It was a close one and I’m not afraid to say I was getting a little nervous on the drive to the lake, but I was thrilled when we pulled up and had a beautiful sunset to work with. You can’t tell by looking at her, but it was freezing out there in the wind, and she was such a sport about it, not one word of complaint! My fingers were numb and I may have edited out some goosebumps on her, but it was all worth it, as I’m sure she’d agree.

Also, I was thinking of buying some Toms to keep up with the cool kids (because I’m always right on the cutting edge), but after seeing her silver Toms it pushed me into action. I had to have some! And now after our session, I became the proud owner of my first pair of Toms, thank you very much to my sister who got some for me for Christmas.

I think my favorite shot of the day is the very last one I posted here. Take a look at some of her photos.
