My name is Shannon Hunt, and I am a lifestyle portrait photographer in Temple, Texas (and 60 miles in any direction) as well as Dallas, Texas (for a small additional travel fee). I am passionate about capturing the personalities of my clients and creating beautiful timeless images for them to cherish the rest of their lives. I love photographing families, children, couples, and people in general and seeing who they are through my images and the love that they have for each other: mothers holding their babies, sons admiring their fathers, children using their imaginations, babies attempting early smiles. Candid photographs are by far my favorite, and my photos tend to seem very much like an outsider looking in, seeing families as they naturally are. My sessions always tell a story.

I get emotionally attached to each of my clients and their photos and adore seeing the love they have for each other both through my camera at the session and through my images afterwards as I sort through them on my computer. It’s beautiful to see the relationships families have with each other in small details, usually just the way they look at each other, and I have a deep passion for capturing those moments. When I see them and capture them, I get so excited I feel butterflies in my stomach.

I work entirely on-location, and my photography sessions are relaxed and fun. I want my clients, whether they’re four or forty years old, to be themselves rather than stuck in stuffy poses. I want their personalities to shine in my images. There is nothing I love more than capturing true moments of tenderness or spontaneous laughter between family members so that they can always look at their images and relive those moments of love and happiness for years and years to come. I also strive to create timeless, classic images that will stand the test of time and will not become outdated in future years or decades. I spend a lot of time carefully analyzing and touching-up each and every one of my images.
